Our theme this year is Matthew 11:28 "Come to me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest,"
We are believing God at His Word. In todays world we are weary and heavy laden so we must learn to come to Him for our rest. Our desire at Calvary Chapel is finding our Hope and Rest in Him. This is done through learning who God is, His nature, and His attributes. As we come to know Him we learn to trust Him in all things. Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."
We want each woman to know Jesus and to find their life in Him. We encourage studying the whole counsel of the Word of God. We encourage our women to study daily, to walk in His spirit and watch Him work. As the world is getting crazier we want to be wise and spirit filled. Ephesians 4:16-20 "redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the spirit."
We desire that women fellowship together through bible study and have relationships where they can share, encourage, pray and keep walking with the Lord. We see that relationship with Elizabeth and Mary as they spent time together talking and sharing their joys. Luke 1:39-56, Mary and Elizabeth discussed the Greatness of their God. And we have an example of the older women and younger women ministering to each other. Elizabeth was honored at the visit and Mary was encouraged by Elizabeth. Titus 2:3 "the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanders, not given to much wine, teachers of good things"
Acts 17:28 " Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy and keep those things which are written in it for the time is near."
If you would like to join our ladies study we are currently in the Book of Colossians on Thursday Morning and will be taking the rest of August off for summer break. Resuming in September and starting the book of Revelation.
